Dr. Raul Ramirez opened Raul Ramirez DDS, A Professional Dental Corporation as a solo general practitioner in Metairie, Louisiana, 44 years ago. Dr. Ramirez did his undergraduate studies and received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Loyola University in 1965. After completing his education, Dr. Ramirez took a rotating internship at the Veterans Hospital in 1966. Following his internship, he taught Dentistry at Loyola of New Orleans and L.S.U. Dental School of New Orleans for 15 years. He has also participated in several years of missionary work in Saltillo, Mexico. Dr. Ramirez’s main priority is to stay current with the latest advances in dentistry by attending a minimum of 30 hours of continuing education a year. This enables him to offer his patients the latest options. Most recently, he has attended several courses at the world-renowned Las Vegas Institute (LVI Global), one of the most prestigious post-graduate educational centers in the world. His continued focus is on comprehensive aesthetic reconstructive and neuromuscular dentistry. He is also affiliated with the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Society. Dr. Ramirez’s goal as a dentist is to restore a beautiful, healthy smile as well as improve function and boost self-confidence.
